A little slice of the countryside for your shelf. This small vintage plate from Weatherby Hanley features a large blue butterfly with dark markings, resting among soft brown grasses and pale pink flower spikes, with a tiny cottage tucked in at the base.
A thin gold-toned line traces the rounded-square rim, and the back carries the Weatherby Hanley Royal Falconware mark with its little Union Jack flag. Pop it on a stand or use it as a pretty dish for small treasures.
