This little elephant is entirely clear blown glass, with its trunk raised high above an alert, big-eared face. The glasswork is thin and delicate, catching the light beautifully from every angle, and the legs are shaped mid-stride to give it a playful, animated feel.
There's no maker's mark on this piece, so we can't say for certain who made it, but it has the light, hand-worked look of a classic glass animal ornament, the kind that turns up in a curio cabinet or a windowsill collection. It would sit happily among other glass or crystal animals, or hold its own on a bookshelf.
In good vintage condition.
