A delightful piece of New Zealand studio pottery, this chamberstick comes from Thelma Lamont's Stoneware Pottery in Carterton. Hand thrown in a soft cream stoneware, it has a wide saucer base and a looped handle for carrying, both finished with a lovely dripped cobalt blue glaze along the rim.
The bulbous central socket holds a standard candle and adds real character to a mantelpiece, side table or bathroom shelf. A genuine piece of Kiwi pottery history with maker's label intact on the base.
